Swordplay Saturday at the Wallace Collection in London

Saturday 26th May - come and enjoy a day of historic sword fighting demonstrations, family workshops and film.   Drop in to a family art workshop to make your own armour 11am to 12.45pm, and 2.30 - 4.15pm.  Historical Sword fighting demonstration take place11.30am to 12.15pm, and 1 - 1.45pm, 2 - 3pm, 3 - 3.45pm, and the film screening at 4pm.

Explore a Surrey Windmill on Sunday (Charlwood)

Lowfield Heath Windmill opens only once a month.  This Sunday is an opportunity to view the machinery and the interior, and displays on the mill's history in the roundhouse where a mill related video will also be playing.
Opening times: 2pm - 5pm  Its free to enter, but a donation of £3 per person is suggested.   Click here for directions to the windmill.
Ideas for family days by the river

I'm building a list of places in Surrey where you can picnic, paddle and play with fishing nets.   I'll be drawing on the information in Tessa Wardley's River Book, but if you have any favourite locations you can share, please let me know
