Introducing you to Geoaching
Have you ever tried Geocaching?   This link takes you to the main website that explains how geocaching works.   Type in your postcode to find geocache sites near you and enjoy modern day hide and seek! More trails are outdoor events on the tours and walks link.  

Ride London activities 9th & 10th August
This weekend is the Ride London event, which has a range of options to entertain the family.  Register beforehand to take part in the 10 mile cycle across London - 9th August, or enjoy watching the efforts of others at various locations across London and Surrey.  It's just been announced that Bradley Wiggins will be taking part - I wonder if he has seen the weather forecast for Sunday!

Festival of Triangles this August
And for something totally different…. The Festival of Triangles.  This is a great event for children up to about 11 years old, for some making, doing, singing and mathematical fun.
The Winch, Swiss Cottage, on Saturday 9th August, 2-5pm
Abbey Community Centre, Kilburn on Friday 15 August 2014, 1-4pm
St Pancras Library, on Saturday 16August 2014, 2-5pm
The festival finale will be held at the Pirate Castle, Camden Town on Saturday 30th August 2014, 2-5pm

Looking ahead.......
There is an open air festival in the heart of London at the Seven Dials Square 16th August. 
The Notting Hill Carnival 23rd to 25th August  
National Paralympic Day featuring Mayor of London’s Liberty Festival at the Olympic park takes place 30 August 2014 - prebook your tickets for this event (£5 per person)
Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Festival starts Friday 5th September to Tuesday 9th Sept with lots of free family activities
