Tours, walks and outdoor fun
This weather makes me want to be outdoors, rather than indoors, so here are some ideas for outdoor locations!
If you take a look at the tours and walks tab on the website - you'll see a huge range of locations for woodland walks.  For example - did you know Box Hill had activity trails, stepping stones across a river as well as wonderful views!
The
parks, playgrounds and farms listing has all the Royal London parks listed as well as several in Surrey.  And if you would like to mix indoor and outdoor - Greenwich is an unbeatable location for the combination of parkland and free to access museums.
Weekend fun for 20th & 21st July
Two great activities this weekend include outdoor games at Ham House in Richmond, and the 150th birthday celebrations at Alexandra Palace.
If you are not a National Trust member it will cost £10.20 for a family to access the gardens of Ham House.  They have a range of outdoor activities planned Saturday and Sunday which include Den Building, craft activities and garden games (sponsored by Jaques).

At Alexandra Palace there will be a bandstand with a variety of performers, an activity zone including pitch and putt workshops,a funfair, victorian street performers, pedalo races, tethered balloon, trackless train and lots more!  Timings:  Sunday 21st July 11am to 4pm.
The National Trust also have a summer holiday theme of '50 things to do before you are 11¾' the link takes you to details of activities happening throughout the summer holidays.
More information on activities this weekend are detailed on the home page of Fab Family Days!
Free days out with kids this summer
There are so many activities to choose from over the Summer holidays we suggest you pick your 'theme' Arts and crafts, or storytelling etc - or pick the day for which you are planning an outing, and search for activities that suit your location and the age range of your children.
Please email any feedback on events, ideas or developments for the website - we would be happy to hear from you!
